Meet the Team

Alishia

Dental Hygienist

I began my dental career in 2008 as a dental assistant and quickly became passionate about dentistry. This inspired me to obtain an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from CVCC. As a registered dental hygienist I understand the importance of being informed on the latest advancements in dentistry and regularly attend continuing education courses, dental conferences, and professional development opportunities.  My top priority is to help each patient obtain optimal oral health through dental cleanings and provide oral hygiene instruction on homecare techniques to maintain optimal dental health between appointments.  Because I am always seeking to integrate new knowledge and techniques into our dental practice, I chose to become certified in administering local anesthesia during my dental procedures.

I pride myself on making our patients feel comfortable during dental visits and enjoy the relationships and trust built with them.

My husband, Casey, and I enjoy spending summers on Lake Hickory with friends and family, attending church activities, and cheering on my favorite baseball team the Atlanta Braves!

Shannon

Lead Dental Assistant

I am a 2002 graduate of Western Piedmont Community College’s dental assisting program and I am certified by the Dental Assisting National Board. I joined Dr. Cordora in 2019 and I assist with all clinical procedures and help my teammates provide excellent care to our patients. My goal is to help our patients understand their dental needs and how to improve their oral health. I want all patients to feel comfortable while regaining confidence in their smiles after completing treatment.

My husband, Steven, and I have been married for over 30 years. We  have two sons, one daughter, and four grandchildren. I spend most of my spare time with my family, however, I also enjoy volunteering with my church, in my community, and for Meals on Wheels.

Darlene

Administrative Assistant

I attended Winston-Salem State University and CVCC, studying healthcare management. I joined Dr. Cordora’s team in 2015 and I immediately knew I was in the right place. I assist patients with scheduling appointments and I provide office support to our financial coordinator and Dr. Cordora. I enjoy helping our patients and making them feel at home and comfortable at our office.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with family and friends and supporting my son’s interest in the arts and music.

Lilia

Dental Hygienist

I like interacting with different people and building trust with each of them. When a patient knows I am here to help them feel safe and relax and they are more open to the education I offer. I enjoy motivating and teaching people proper home dental hygiene techniques and promoting good oral health, so people have lifetime of great smiles.

I joined Dr. Cordora and my teammates in 2017 and I am happy to be a part of a supportive and friendly office. Everyone here cares about each other and we are united in our desire to provide the best care to our patients.

When not working, I love to read, travel, and spend time with husband, son, and our various pets.

Michelle

Financial and Treatment Coordinator

I’ve been part of the dental field since 1996 and was fortunate to join Dr. Cordora and this amazing team in 2015. I have a background in business but have worked in the dental field for more than 20 years. I love being a part of the smile transformations that increase our patients’ self-image! I help our patients understand their dental treatment plans and discuss financial options, including any insurance benefits they may have.

Outside of work, I love nature, reading, and spending time with my family. I’m married and have three daughters and one granddaughter. I also enjoy volunteering through my church and in our community.

Destiny

Dental Assistant

I graduated from the Western Piedmont Dental Assisting Program in 2022 and I have been working at this office ever since!  I enjoy taking care of my patients’ needs and making them feel comfortable in treatment.

In my spare time I enjoy taking my three “fur babies” on adventures and spending time with my family and friends.
