Meet the Team

Melissa Simpson - Dental Hygienist
I have been employed by Dr. Cordora since 2003. I earned an associates degree in dental hygiene from Catawba Valley Community College in 2002. I have been a resident of Catawba County since 1994. I most enjoy working on patients, from the young to young-at-heart! It has been exciting to watch our practice grow. My personal time involves spending time with friends and my two children, Bryce and Brysa.
Sharon Ledford - Certified Dental Assistant
I graduated from the dental assisting program at Western Piedmont Community College in 1999. I have been an assistant for Dr. Cordora since 2011. I enjoy working with this office very much. I love being a dental assistant because of the relationships that are formed and the smiles that I get to help create. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family.
Jamie Moten - Financial/Insurance Coordinator
I have worked with Dr. Cordora since June of 2007. I received my Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. My principal duties include helping with all of our patients' financial needs and questions, including payment arrangement to insure treatment is received in a timely manner. In my spare time I enjoy being with my children Erica and Justus, as well as coaching our elementary cheerleading squads.

I enjoy working with my fellow employees as we all get along so well. I have a daughter who is five and we enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing tea party. I also enjoy cooking for my family and friends. I'm always game for new recipes.
Clarissa James - Dental Assistant
I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Cordora for 2 years and I come to him with over 15 years experience. I enjoy working in the field of dentistry because it allows me the opportunity to form new relationships with people by helping transform their smiles. I have had the benefit of assisting in a variety of procedures from cleanings to implants. Watching someone smile with new confidence, makes me appreciate my job even more. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter who is the absolute love of my life!
Shawna Houck - Patient Care Coordinator
I have been employed by Dr. Cordora since January 2011. I attended Caldwell Community College and Gardner-Webb University. My favorite part of working here is being able to help others and see our patients leave with beautiful smiles! In my free time I enjoy being with my husband Chad, our family, friends and our two furry children Miss Molly and Weezy.
